Sway of demographics on technology adoption and project efficiency in IT sector: PLS SEM

Abstract:
This study seeks to investigate the impact of demographic variables such as age, education, and experience on performance efficiency of IT sector. The research employed a quantitative approach by collecting data from respondents working in various IT organisations. Chi-square analysis revealed that there was no significant association between age and performance efficiency, suggesting that age is not a significant predictor of employee performance in IT industry. The data from the respondents were evaluated using statistical program PLS 4.0. The results of this study provide foundation for subsequent research on adoption of artificial intelligence in developing countries; research results indicate that there are noteworthy association in improving project efficiency in IT sector. Finally, the analysis revealed that the demographic factor of years of experience had an important positive sway on the cost of the project.
