Abstract:
The disruptions of various supply chains due to the outbreak of COVID-19 have been incurring researchers and practitioners to re-evaluating the benefits and risks involved in global sourcing and find ways to increase supply chain resilience. Building on the dynamic capabilities perspective, this project proposes a conceptual model to identify the underlying mechanisms and factors that improve the resilience of supply chains and increase the company's performance accordingly. The theoretical model is empirically tested by analysing a dataset including 276 companies in China. The results in this study contribute to the literature by theoretically proposing and empirically testing a new theoretical model in identifying the intra-organisational antecedents of management capabilities and analyse the outcomes of supply chain resilience in improving performance. It also contributes to business practitioners by providing useful information and guidelines to enhance supply chain resilience.
