Web project development: risk analysis and crisis management

Abstract: The paper presents one of the current project management issues - risk management. This unique approach to risk management examines caused by a pandemic or global catastrophe and highlights the risks in web projects. The risks of web projects are divided into directives that affect project users' psychological, social, and economic conditions: information, user, and resource. Risk assessment was carried out in the following main directions: informational direction (data manipulation, promptness), the user (cyberbullying, thought leader), and resource (project executors, financial). The research method incorporated systematic and analytical analyses of the user direction of risks related to web project users. In comparison, the information direction of risks examined the information content of web projects. The resource direction of risks examined the web project's marketing component and executive support. The results and implications reveal that assessing the intensity of risk management measures for the sustainability of web projects regarding risks is imperative.
