Abstract: Inventory control models have received a great deal of attention in recent years. But the fruitful application of inventory models is limited by the correct determination of cost parameters, and this area has not received as much attention. The purpose of this paper is to explain how the cost parameters of inventory models can be correctly estimated, and to reveal some commonly accepted errors. "Management Technology", ISSN 0542-4917, was published as a separate journal from 1960 to 1964. In 1965 it was merged into Management Science.
