Abstract: In this paper the behaviour of a complex system consisting of n components of constant failure rates (lambda) 1 , (lambda) 2 , ..., (lambda) n and repair rates pit (mu) 1 , (mu) 2 , ..., (mu) n is examined. The probability that the system is operating at time t is obtained. Also the probability that it is in outage stage i at time t has been determined. At the end, a particular case where (mu) ı 's are equal is considered.
