Abstract:
Observation about papers [Pollack, M., W. Wiebenson. 1961. Comments on ‘The shortest route problem’ by Peart, and others. Opns Res. 9 411; Peart, R. M., P. H. Randolph, T. E. Bartlett. 1960. The shortest route problem. Opns Res. 8 866--868; Pollack, M., W. Wiebenson. 1960. Solutions of the shortest route problem---a review. Opns Res. 8 224--230.]. Here the following two aspects of the problem---(a) allowing the link distances to be negative, and (b) searching for maximal routes---are considered.
