Abstract:
This paper deals with the simple machine interference problem when each machine is liable to two types of failure whose repair times are distributed according to general distributions. One type of failure is assumed to have the “head-of-the-line” priority over the other type. Using the supplementary variable technique, the steady-state probabilities for the number of machines running, have been obtained.
