Abstract:
Kleinrock has studied linearly time-dependent queue disciplines with a set of positive variable parameters. This paper continues his work by deriving a result for a delay-dependent priority system in which a unit's priority is decreased from zero linearly with time in proportion to a negative rate assigned to the unit's group. The two queuing structures provide the system designers the same number of degrees of freedom.
