Abstract: This note outlines three efficient solution procedures for the following problem: Maximize ∑ i −1 i − n V i ( m i ) with respect to ( m 1 , …, m n ), subject to the conditions that the m i are nonnegative integers and ∑ i −1 i − n m i = M (an integer), and that each V i is a nonnegative, concave, increasing function.
