Abstract:
This note derives equations from which the maximum-likelihood estimates of the parameters of a circular normal distribution truncated outside a circular region may be obtained. The information matrix is included from which the asymptotic variances and covariances of the estimators may be obtained. A numerical example is given to illustrate the theory.
