Abstract:
This paper outlines a method for the statistical analysis of the recidivistic performance of individuals within a correctional release program, and extends the procedure to enable comparing the performances of two groups in the same or in different programs. It provides an illustration of how these techniques can be used based on actual data from the District of Columbia Department of Corrections for the period January 1, 1972, through July 1, 1973.
