Abstract: This bibliography identifies almost 500 titles, which, with a few exceptions, deal with quantitative models related to competitive bidding. The papers vary widely. They include ad hoc advice to bidders, analytical models of single and multiple auctions, evaluations of the use of auctions for allocating resources, and analyses of historical data on bidding. Some deal with competitive bidding in general while others relate to particular markets. Many of the entries are devoted to competitive bidding for construction contracts, oil exploration rights, and securities.
