Technical Note—Response Time Distribution of the M / M / m / N Queueing Model

Abstract:
We analyze the M / M / m / N queueing model with a first-come, first-served discipline and show that the distribution of response time (i.e., queueing time + service time) is asymptotically normal as N increases. The mean and variance of this normal distribution are both simple functions of the model parameters.
