Abstract:
This paper by F. V. Hurst, Jr., which appeared in the November 1955 issue of this Journal, deals with a useful and interesting problem: what number of parking spaces is required to cope adequately with the maximum inventory of parked cars? Here “adequate” and “inventory” are used as defined in the paper. Several comments about Hurst' paper follow.
