Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide a solution to a linear difference differential equation with time lag which governs the motion of a line of traffic. The idea of using operational calculus in solving such types of equations is not new, but the result may be of interest. In addition, a special problem is considered and some consequences derived from the solution.
