The Utility of Statistics of Random Numbers

Abstract: The utility of tables of random numbers is enhanced when statistics of the numbers are known. Such statistics permit, inter alia , the efficiencies of stratified sampling. This fact is indicated by numerical examples. Computer Monte Carlo is also discussed.
