Abstract: This letter indicates that another measure of effectiveness is of interest in certain queuing evaluation, different from those indicated by Saaty [Saaty, T. L. 1957. Resume of useful formulas in queuing theory. Opns Res. 5 161--200.] and Feller [Feller, W. 1957. An Introduction to Probability Theory and Its Applications , Vol. 1. Wiley, New York.].
