Abstract:
In this paper, Bayes' postulate is applied to a problem whose traditional solution, in the sense of Neymann and Pearson, is readily available. A comparison reveals some interesting differences and similarities of the two solutions. The Bayesian solution is believed to be the more realistic of the two in the particular application studied.
