Abstract:
An investigation of the application of the bus crew scheduling methods of Bennett and Potts to the scheduling operations of the Brisbane City Council transport services has revealed that variations in the industrial award conditions significantly affect the method of solution. These variations are discussed briefly and some suggestions are made that improve the computational efficiency of the general method.
