Abstract:
In a contribution to this journal, Sivazlian ( Trans. Sci. 5 , 337--343) presents a convoy model and derives the delays induced by random exogenous events. This note shows that the convoy model corresponds to the sojourn time problem and his results are easily deduced from the famous ones of Takács under more generalized assumptions.
