Abstract: Abstract This article serves as a review of the existing research on Asian family firms, synthesizing the literature using the goals, governance, and resources (GGR) framework, and suggesting future research directions. The article intends to take stock of the knowledge on Asian family firms and compare it with the literature on Western firms to enhance our understanding of family firms.
