A Multiregional Location Model of Monopolistically-Competitive Firms

Abstract: We build a multiregional location choice model for monopolistic competitors, which accommodates two types of assemblers and two classes of vertically-linked parts suppliers. By revealing the changes in potential profits of the firms in each region, the partial equilibrium model can help us identify the best location to set up a business when trade barriers are reduced.
