Abstract: According to the approach of economic sociology, economics should include a social perspective. Because economy is a part of society, therefore it cannot be analyzed by isolating from the rest of the society. The best works of Old Economic Sociology is done by Max Weber. According to Max Weber, capitalism is born from Protestant Ethic and its values. For Weber culture is like conductor working at railways switching the ways of the train. In this study, the birth and development of economic sociology, which is a relatively young social science, will be told. Besides a dignified Turkish economist, SabriÜlgener’s views will be explained in this study. SabriÜlgener had written a lot of books and articles for explaining the economic mind of Muslim-Turk people.
