Abstract:
The research is the analysis of the psycho-social dimensions that influence the shyness and the self-esteem of adolescents in order to understand their behaviors and their personality changes in the structure inherent in this ontogenetic period. The research is inextricably linked to timidity and self-esteem in adolescents and especially to identify some particular constellation of causal factors involved in the formation and in the structuring of these dimensions. The present study refers to the analysis of the impact area of residence (rural or urban) and individual acceptance of the social group membership has on timidity, the adolescent’s self-esteem and optimism in comparisons with different groups of subjects to determine differences associated with these variables.
