Abstract: The work shows a shadow of this world, a less known phenomenon, through one qualitative research achieved through participatory observation and information gathering; our aim was understanding the way of living of an autistic child and proposing some solutions for entering his world. This is a case study, a descriptive research. Through this research I found that even though he knows a lot of things, the subject is not expose by him, but only asked, because he is afraid of failure. He even thinks that people, those who are besides him, can read his mind. The observation showed that he does not like to speak too much because he is a little far away from this reality and he lives in his own world which is made by his own wishes. The work reveals some attempts of applied solutions concerning this child: making one program of daily activities depending on the child’s psychic state which is very changing, implementing a system of rules made by his mother. Starting with the second month of work with the subject, some changes started to appear. This will be related in the present work. The observation revealed that the changes that appear in his attitude are connected with some external and internal elements: the springtime, the piano lessons, having one system of reward and penalty. In conclusion, this qualitative research reflects one particular case, interesting for social workers. I did not just open the case, but I also tried to propose solutions, one step forward, showing what works and what does not work. This is a special case, unique, because every case of autism has his features.
