Abstract: The aims of the present study are to analyse the recent evolution of divorce phenomenon and divorce’s most frequent causes, the presentations of divorce’s types and of some of the most efficient approaches in divorce therapy. The pain of separation or divorce can produce serious maladjustments and a lot of grief. A great number of persons who experienced this type of loss can have symptoms as: anger, frustration, depression, fear from loneliness, etc. They can use different ways, very often irrational, for being again together with his or her partner. These symptoms can appear to persons who have chosen to leave their partner, or to those who have been abandoned. In the same time, children can be affected by the divorce it-self, especially by the lack of explanations regarding emotional separation of their parents and by the conflictual aspect of divorce. More than that, children can be used as “objects” by a parent, against the other.
