Abstract: Health education is an essential topic for the contemporary society because it focuses on delivering information to enhance and sustain community health. This type of education covers issues of broad interest, such as disease prevention, promoting a healthy lifestyle, the significance of nutrition and exercise and stress reduction. Health education aims to raise awareness and build the necessary skills for a healthy behavior. This article aims to develop the concept of "health education" and highlight its importance for the society and the economy by reviewing the literature. We believe that there is a significant connection between health education, population health and the economy as the formation of healthy adults emerges from a well-balanced childhood, which is beneficial to long-term economic development.
