Unemployment Insurance and Voluntary Quits

Abstract: Women who leave jobs for compelling family reasons often do not qualify for unemployment insurance. In fact, the authors argue, unemployment insurance is based on male breadwinner assumptions that are out of date. State reforms are needed.
