The Need for Ideological Consciousness

George Lodge

Challenge, 2010, vol. 53, issue 2, 76-89

Abstract: The author has been writing about the consequences of political ideology for well over a generation now. As America faces a changed world, he believes it fails to recognize the pull and push of its own ideological tendencies. Unless it begins to understand the power of ideology, it will not be able to cope with the changed world, he argues.
