Working Without Laws in New York City

Abstract: One of America's great achievements was to pass laws to protect workers. There are growing reports of employers violating such laws, but just how often has been hard to determine. These researchers have done the most comprehensive study yet of violations in New York City across industries, and their results are disturbing.
