Abstract: This paper introduces the special issue titled “Meta-Analysis of Emerging Markets and Economies” of the Emerging Markets Finance & Trade journal. In addition, it briefly describes the procedure and methodology of meta-analysis and persons who intensively perform meta-analytic research in economics. Commentary on special issue articles from the authors is also provided.
