Abstract: At the beginning of the 21st century, the Autonomous Community of Galicia and the Veneto region developed policies with the aim of facilitating the "return" of emigrants and their descendants. But have these “return” policies conditioned contemporary migration flows from Argentina? The aim of this paper is to give an exploratory response through the narratives of 25 “Argentinean” migrant parents who moved with their families to these regions. Most of them manifested little or no knowledge about “return” policies. This situation would be related to: 1) personal disinterest, 2) different ancestral origins, and 3) the presence of social networks.
