Abstract: In this article, the authors present the results of the designing of future fundamental scientific research, the formulation of the topic of which already represents a certain problem field for the study of interdisciplinary phenomena. The authors describe the relevance of the study, the fundamental scientific task that the study will be directed at, formulate the research objectives, justify the feasibility and necessity of carrying out research together with foreign partners, indicate the expected results of a future cross-cultural research of the economic behavior of consumers from different generations in the problematic field of sustainable development, showing the scientific and practical significance of future research.
