Price Schemes for the Internet: Access to the Network and Search Advertising

Abstract:
This paper presents and analyzes the economic literature that has recently emerged in relation to two particular issues concerning the Internet: network access pricing and auction mechanisms used by search engines to sell online advertising. Possible lines for future research on those subjects are also outlined.
