2021. What Path for the EMU of tomorrow?
Nicola Acocella ()
Rivista di storia economica, 2021, issue 3, 319-354
Abstract:
The paper deals with the path followed by European monetary institutions, starting in particular from the economic and political considerations that supported them, then passing to their implementation and the imbalances arising from them. The reforms recently implemented in order to face the effects of the pandemic are also described. This opens the debate where these reforms are – or can really be – the beginning of economic and political changes or simply a temporary solution limited to the effects of the pandemic.
