US ‘wastes vital time’ as climate-change minority sows confusion

Meredith Wadman

Nature, 1999, vol. 400, issue 6739, 5-5

Abstract: washington Scientists have accused the US congress of ignoring solid data on climate change and wasting time that should be used to counter the effects of human-generated greenhouse gases. They say that Congress should not be distracted by ‘contrarian’ views of a handful of scientists who dispute the mainstream scientific consensus on climate change.
