Abstract: Single cells on target A new method of manipulating single cells and microparticles combines the use of optical images with dielectrophoresis. It can sort cells, like the live cells circled above left, directed by the optical grid on the right. And it achieves high throughput using 100,000 times less optical intensity than optical tweezers.
