Gene-function wiki would let biologists pool worldwide resources

Abstract: Wiki genes A microarray experiment or BLAST search can turn up thousands of gene names, but the average biologist has little notion as to what most of them do, and has to start ploughing through the literature. Time for a ‘gene function’ equivalent of Wikipedia?
