Abstract: Immunoglobulin-A (IgA) is the main immunoglobulin found in mucous sectretions. B cell class-switch recombination to IgA in mucosa-associated tissues is regulated by a subset of dendritic cells which produce TNF-α and inducible nitric oxide in response to the recognition of commensal bacteria by toll-like receptors
