Abstract: The transcription factor REST has been implicated in tumourigenesis, and β-TrCP regulates REST degradation. REST, in turn, controls the chromosome stability by regulating the expression of spindle checkpoint protein Mad2, suggesting that this mechanism contributes to the roles of β-TrCP and REST in transformation.
