Gathering dust: the importance of conference proceedings Conference proceedings are often overlooked when it comes to indexing and availability on databases. A shame. They can be the source of new ideas from the likes of Boris Belousov (of the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction) and Nobel winners such as Abdus Salam and Koichi Tanaka.
