Abstract: Transcriptome-wide mapping of N1-methyladenosine (m1A) at single-nucleotide resolution reveals m1A to be scarce in cytoplasmic mRNA, to inhibit translation, and to be highly dynamic at a single site in a mitochondrial mRNA.
