Chromatin clues to the trypanosome parasite’s uniform coat

Abstract: The parasite Trypanosoma brucei causes sleeping sickness. It evades human defences by changing the version of a protein that coats its surface. Analysis of its genome and nuclear structure clarifies this variation process.
