Methane beneath Greenland’s ice sheet is being released

Lauren C. Andrews ()

Nature, 2019, vol. 565, issue 7737, 31-32

Abstract: Methane produced in sediments beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet is released to the atmosphere by meltwater in the summer. This suggests that glacial melt could be an important global source of this greenhouse gas.
