Conformation of the native HIV-1 envelope protein raises questions for vaccine design

Abstract: The HIV-1 envelope protein is the target of antibodies that neutralize the virus. A fresh look into the conformational states of this protein relaunches the quest to identify those relevant for vaccine design.
