Unternehmensverantwortung als Problemlösungsmechanismus gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen? Eine explorative Studie am Beispiel der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, 1950–2012

Jan Goldenstein

Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik - Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics, 2018, vol. 19, issue 1, 74-102

Abstract: Drawing on institutional theory, this study exploratively investigates what the responsibilities are that were assigned to corporations in the Federal Republic of Germany in the period from 1950 to 2012. This study aims to shed light on the question how this responsibility has changed over time and why this change might have occurred. The findings are interpreted in terms of the role of corporations as social actors and the role of responsibility as mechanism for the solution of societal challenges.
