Wirtschaftshermeneutik einer reflexiven Wirtschaftspädagogik. Lebensweltliche Ökonomie und wissenschaftliche Ökonomik im Kontext von Moral und Ethik

Georg Tafner

Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik - Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics, 2020, vol. 21, issue 3, 224-249

Abstract: Academic economics is supposed to be value free - acting in the lifeworld economy is always normative. The unreflected application of scientific theories and models considering morale and ethics as exogenous factors or normatively interpreting economics as moral and ethical foundations leads to a pedagogically problematic narrowing of economic views. This narrow view might shape an economically centred perception of the economy and economic acting. Economic education based on constructive-critical education should be a socio-economic education, which integrates the economic aspect into the social, political and moral/ethical dimension. Economic hermeneutics delivers an instrument for better understanding the integration of these dimensions.
