Postwachstumsökonomie: Von der aussichtslosen Institutionen- zur Individualethik

Niko Paech

Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik - Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics, 2021, vol. 22, issue 2, 168-190

Abstract: Due to the fact that strategies of decoupling or green growth are in vain, an economic design that is based not on the increase but on the reduction and self-limitation of human possibilities appears to be indispensable. Under current cultural conditions, the necessary transformation is hardly compatible with an institutionalist ethical approach. Instead, individualist ethical concepts that take up the impetus for change in civil society turn out to be more promising.
