Wissenschaftliche Kritik und ›positivistische Ideologiekritik‹ Zur Relevanz zweier Kriterien für die zeitgenössische (Ideologie-)Kritik

Michaela Haase

Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik - Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics, 2022, vol. 23, issue 2, 226-258

Abstract: A positivist figure of thought states that only empirical knowledge can claim to be knowledge. Accordingly, non-empirically substantiated scientific knowledge does not exist. If, for example, value judgments pretend to be knowledge, they become ideology. With reference to the neo-Kantian philosophy of science and philosophy of value, the ›pitfalls of positivism‹ identified by Jürgen Habermas, and by analytic philosophy of science, the article illuminates the possibilities and limits of ›positivist‹ (ideology) critique.
