Abstract:
This article reconstructs the problem situation and unfolding of Karl Homann’s theory program for an economically informed order ethics. A distinction is made between three phases with two phase transitions. This interpretation of Homann's whole oeuvre identifies an interdisciplinary course of development that leads from practical philosophy to economics and from there back to practical philosophy. Homann’s legacy is to revitalize the second third of practical philosophy’s classic triad of politics, economy and morality.
